This is just a first post test to see how well Windows LiveWriter interfaces with my Wordpress journal.
I’m not convinced I want to migrate to my own server/journal from LiveJournal. I have a presence there, but it is likely to be rather weak. I figure, if I’m going to have this website, I might as [...]
I had a first playtest of Igooorrr! with Heather last night. We had fun with it and made some significant rules changes to try in the next test. I’m looking forward to trying it with new people.
Seems like there was something else I wanted to say, but it has escaped me.
Slaintè,

Some time ago, posted about a boardgame idea he had for a game where you compete to be the first to build a frankensteinian monster. I was fascinated by the idea, and have worked out a prototype. I need some testers. Anybody up for building a monster with me?
If you’d like to playtest [...]
Well, GenericonXXII has come and gone. It was good to see people I only see maybe once a year, and it’s always an adventure to RP with strangers. I had pretty good luck in terms of compatible play styles, with only some mild hiccups.
Some highlights:
I finally got to play in a session of Sufficiently [...]
I am so burned out on character generation. I have 14 characters stated out at three paces each and I can tell you, some of those backgrounds are pretty weak. But you know what? I doubt anyone but me cares.

To do so, I’m going back through my old records and updating original playtest characters, converting them to the current rules. While doing this, I hit a bit of a bump because all of these [...]
I just realized it’s been a while since I posted an update, so here goes.
I’m nearly done with the first draft of the Aliens Revisited section. I’m finishing up the Cholak entry right now, leaving only the Sheolin entry, which is half done. I still need to go back over each entry to see which [...]
So, I just got home from a very successful 3.5e D&D game at ’s place. What made it so successful was that my character died.
Odd, you say? Isn’t character death usually a bad thing?
Why, yes, it usually is, but we’ve been playtesting the Fell Sylvanus class that I think I’ve mentioned here before, [...]
I’ll probably need to cross post this with the SftS development journal, but I started the thread here, so….
Sunday’s game went quite well. We were off to a bit of a slow start, catching up who missed the previous session and reminding ourselves of where we stood. Then the players needed to decide [...]
I am excited and happy to be about embark on a new D&D adventure courtesy of . He’s running it 3.5e, so it’s something I’m mostly familiar with. I hope it’s as fun as ’s last D&D campaign. Not that I intend to compare and contrast the two. Each GM offers a new perspective on [...]
